It is deeper and has a steeper angle than the 5" fin that was the standard on our Traditional models. The 6" fin provides better tracking on straight courses and also prevent sideways rolling more than a 5" fin would. However, in weedy areas, the 5" Traditional fin sheds weeds a bit better.
We also have 2 specialized options, a "Chula Vista" weed shedding fin, and a 4.2" smaller fin for head races (same price as regular 5 and 6 inch fins).

When my 6" fin broke off, I replaced it with the 5" spare I had ordered. Huge difference in the ease of cornering for head racing, but still has good stability. Only downside to the fins was digging out broken part of old fin from finbox.

I recently tried the 6 inch deep fin on an Advantage while sculling the river Dordogne in France. The enhanced stability it provided through cross currents and eddies was remarkable. I recommend it highly.
