There are three stretcher fittings on a traditional single (sold individually). The stretcher fittings serve as points of contact between the footboard and the deck. The heel angle plate and footbaord crossbar attach to the stretcher fittings with 1/4 20 stainless steel bolts (not included). Screws are provided to anchor the stretcher fittings to the hull material. For best results, we recommend bedding the screws (not the bolts) in epoxy to provide a watertight seal. Each stretcher fitting is made of polycarbonate for corrosion resistance and durability.
